Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Perform routine tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate findings
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
• Support the team with documentation and timely communication to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required)
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
• Compassionate demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow care plans and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Prior caregiving or long-term care experience is a plus but not always required for per diem roles

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety best practices
• Basic clinical skills such as taking vital signs and accurately reporting observations
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
