Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care during assigned shifts
• Assess patient condition and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Document patient care thoroughly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with colleagues to create and implement individualized care plans
• Support patient and family education, offering clear instructions and reassurance
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN or LPN license (Maine preferred or compact where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications encouraged
• Comfortable working night shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or LPN certificate)
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Wound care and basic clinical procedures
• Comfort with electronic medical records and charting
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Team communication and handoff best practices
