Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM, Night/Overnight shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support
Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe and hygienic care by following infection control protocols
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and families
Help maintain a comfortable, respectful environment that preserves patient dignity

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; valid in New Mexico preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of standard CNA procedures and patient care techniques
Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Good patient handling and safe transfer techniques
Familiarity with infection control and basic safety practices
Strong observational skills and attention to detail
Team-oriented mindset with clear communication and documentation abilities
