Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with compassion and respect
• Perform safe patient transfers and mobility support to promote independence
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support meal service and document intake as required
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
• Communicate clearly with nurses, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care
• Document care activities accurately and timely in the patient record

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification for New Mexico (required)
• Valid state-required credentials and ability to provide proof upon hire
• Comfort working overnight shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a kind, patient-centered attitude
• Basic experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Basic clinical observation and reporting of changes in condition
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
