Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per-diem nights, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM (overnight/night shift; specific days not specified)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility while preserving dignity
Monitor and record vital signs and resident conditions accurately
Document care and communicate changes in resident status to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team
Previous patient care experience preferred but new CNAs who demonstrate heart and aptitude are encouraged to apply

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control practices
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Basic documentation and charting skills
Patient transfer and safe lifting techniques
Strong observational skills and attention to detail
Compassionate bedside manner and respectful resident interactions
