Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
• Assist nursing staff with monitoring and recording vital signs and resident status
• Support safe transfers, ambulation and mobility to promote independence
• Document resident care and changes accurately and promptly in the chart
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate clearly with the care team and families to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (New Mexico or eligible to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work overnight hours (5:00 PM - 5:30 AM) and flexible per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to pass background checks and required facility screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, bathing, feeding and ADL support
• Infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn facility EMR
• Teamwork, time management and clear communication
• Attention to detail when observing and reporting resident changes
