Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care to patients and families
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret tracings to support safe deliveries
• Care for newborns immediately after birth, following stabilization and STABLE/NRP practices as needed
• Assist in gynecologic surgical care when required and support perioperative needs
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives and interdisciplinary team members to implement evidence-based care plans
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes effectively to ensure continuity
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• Basic Fetal Monitoring skills required
• NRP and STABLE preferred
• Previous Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• Comfortable working day shifts and participating in an every-other-weekend rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and delivery management, postpartum and newborn care
• Fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Neonatal stabilization principles (NRP, STABLE) and newborn assessment
• GYN surgical care support and perioperative basics
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and clear documentation
• Excellent communication, teamwork and patient/family education skills
