Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (night shift; specific days vary based on scheduling)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and any changes in condition, communicating concerns promptly to the nursing team
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Support feeding, hydration, and toileting needs while encouraging dignity and independence
Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and handoffs
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
Active New Mexico CNA registry or eligibility to register in New Mexico
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfort with night-shift routines and the ability to work per diem schedules
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in providing ADL support with patience and respect
Able to take and accurately record vital signs
Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
Basic charting/documentation skills and following care plans
Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members
Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced care environment
