Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the assigned shift
• Assess, monitor and document patient condition and respond to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Perform thorough handoffs and ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Respond promptly to urgent situations and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license (eligible/active in Maine preferred)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable preferred
• Previous acute care or long-term care experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing or practical nursing program (ADN/PN) or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and bedside care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Medications administration and IV/infusion knowledge (as applicable)
• Infection control, wound care and basic emergency response
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
