Shift Type: Per-diem (days vary), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately
Assist with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
Communicate changes in resident condition to nurses and the care team promptly
Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury
Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Comfortable working overnight per-diem shifts (5:00 PM - 5:30 AM; ~12.5-hour coverage)
Ability to pass facility background and health screenings
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in fast-paced situations
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

Completion of a state-approved CNA program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of resident care and activities of daily living
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
Infection prevention and adherence to safety protocols
