Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities and dignity-preserving support
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team to help ensure timely interventions
• Assist with safe mobilization and transfers following care plans and safety protocols
• Support mealtime needs and dietary preferences while promoting good nutrition and hydration
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with teammates and families
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (active and in good standing)
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
• Skill in safe lifting and transfer techniques
• Ability to observe, record, and report clinical changes accurately
• Teamwork and effective communication with nursing staff and families
• Time management to support efficient, person-centered care
