Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and observations accurately
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff
• Document care provided in patient records in a clear and timely manner
• Support the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working night shift hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care
• Ability to follow facility policies, infection control practices, and safety protocols
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with residents and team members
• Basic clinical skills: bathing, feeding, toileting, turning, and ambulation assistance
• Familiarity with infection prevention and patient safety practices
• Accurate charting and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to pitch in where needed
