Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and oncoming staff at handoff
• Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies overnight
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and follow facility policies and protocols

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license for the state of Maine
• Previous clinical experience in a hospital or skilled nursing setting preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing independent patient care
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Ability to comply with facility onboarding requirements and credentialing

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma/ADN); RN candidates hold an appropriate nursing diploma or degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessment and basic clinical interventions
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient safety, infection control, and standard precautions
• Clear, professional communication and effective teamwork
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and nursing documentation
