Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during the overnight shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform timely patient assessments and escalate changes in condition
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams for safe handoffs
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers with clear communication
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) — required
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS encouraged
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
• Strong clinical judgment, solid documentation skills, and teamwork mindset
• Prior experience in acute care, long-term care, or similar patient care settings preferred

Education

• RN: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) or diploma program
• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or certificate
• Current BLS required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Basic wound care and pressure injury prevention
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Infection prevention, isolation precautions, and safe patient handling
• Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
