Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and document patient status and report any changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable care environment
• Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and promote resident dignity
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents and families to build trust

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Active authorization to work in New Mexico (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and adaptable to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a heart for patient-centered care

Education

• CNA certification (state-approved program)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, patient hygiene and safe transfer techniques
• Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Teamwork mindset and the ability to follow care plans
• Good observation skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
