Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to NVICU patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Perform and manage advanced procedures such as central line and arterial line care
• Assist with and support intubations and provide post-intubation management
• Care for patients with external ventricular drains (EVD) according to unit protocols
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
• Serve as a dependable team member on nights and weekends, contributing to a stable, high-performing unit

Qualifications

• Active RN license appropriate for practice in Texas (per facility requirements)
• ACLS certification - required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (candidates without ICU experience will not be considered)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Comfort and competence with neuro and oncology patient populations preferred
• Proven skills in central line, arterial line, intubation support, and EVD care
• Willingness to work night shifts and the required weekend rotations
