Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direction and guidance to hospital staff on policy interpretation and application, ensuring safe, consistent care
Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation to keep the hospital running smoothly during night hours
Organize workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure staff understand their duties to optimize efficiency
Support charge nurses and clinical teams with clinical decision making and escalation when needed
Monitor employee productivity, deliver constructive coaching, and foster professional growth
Respond to patient and family concerns with compassion and timely problem solving
Collaborate with clinical leaders and the Chief Nursing Officer on administrative decisions and special projects
Oversee use of advanced medical equipment and ensure safe management of invasive lines, chest tubes, and ventilator-supported patients

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Montana
Minimum 3 years experience as an RN in a hospital setting; recent ICU experience preferred
CPR required
ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Proven leadership or supervisory experience with strong people skills and customer service orientation
Experience with ventilator support, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and post-operative care
Comfortable using basic office equipment and multiple IV pumps

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Nursing supervision and staff coaching with a focus on teamwork and compassion
Patient flow management and resource nurse experience
Clinical decision making and critical thinking in high-acuity settings
Cardiac monitoring and post-operative patient care expertise
Ability to organize workflow, interpret policy, and develop targeted projects
Strong communication skills for interacting with staff at all levels and handling family concerns
