Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Perform routine vital signs and accurately document observations in the patient record
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers following facility protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and infection-controlled environment for patients
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and family members to support coordinated care
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to licensed nursing staff and participate in care planning

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) valid for Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and required health screenings
• Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and basic clinical tasks
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State-approved CNA training program completion and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control practices
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with patient lifting and transfer techniques
• Good observational skills and ability to report clinical changes
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and interdisciplinary teams
• Basic charting and documentation skills
