Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day); On-call responsibilities: Weekday call 4:00 PM - 7:30 AM (twice a week for two weeks each month); Weekend call: Friday 4:00 PM - Monday 7:30 AM (one weekend per month); Every third weekend rotation; Expect callback for STEMIs and urgent/emergent IR cases (30-minute STEMI callback).
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures by scrubbing and circulating to maintain a smooth sterile field
- Perform room circulation duties and scrub responsibilities for IR/Cath Lab and cardiology cases with attention to patient safety
- Perform EKG lead placement when needed (preferred skill) and support telemetry monitoring
- Respond promptly to STEMI and urgent IR callbacks within required timelines and contribute to fast, life-saving care
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized lab equipment (e.g., Philips iFR/IVUS, AngioJet, EKOS, Impella) during procedures
- Collaborate within a three-person call team (minimum one RN) and rotate additional coverage equitably to meet departmental needs
- Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training (dimensions training requirement noted) to maintain competency
- Document procedural activity per facility policy and support quality and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience with strong Interventional Radiology experience (90% IR preferred)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), and ARRT or RCIS
- Preferred: ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, RCIS with Med Experience
- Comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced combo lab (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP)
- Ability to meet on-call and weekend rotation requirements and respond within callback timelines
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in scrubbing and circulating for IR and cath lab procedures
- Telemetry monitoring and EKG lead placement competency
- Familiarity with GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE imaging systems
- Experience with devices/systems such as AngioJet, Pneumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy systems, IABP and Impella
- Strong sterile technique, procedural instrumentation knowledge, and patient positioning
- Ability to work well in small teams, communicate clearly during emergent situations, and follow protocol-driven care
