Roles & Responsibilities

Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic exams at a technical level that does not require direct supervision
Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely and effectively to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections according to protocol
Prepare patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications to ensure smooth exam flow
Maintain quality assurance, radiation protection, and equipment control standards
Adhere to Enloe Medical Center policies, ARRT Standards of Ethics, and the department’s core values
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and the care team to support excellent patient experiences

Qualifications

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services (required)
Approved CPR certification (required)
ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire (required-to-be-obtained)
Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification (desired)
Radiologic Technologist fluoroscopy permit issued by the State of California (desired)
Advanced CT certification (desired)
Experience: Desired — two years in diagnostic x-ray and one year in CT

Education

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services

Knowledge & Skills

Cross-sectional anatomy and CT-specific anatomy knowledge
Patient care, positioning, and preparation skills
Contrast media administration and IV contrast injection technique
Radiation protection, radiation physics, and radiobiology awareness
Quality assurance and equipment troubleshooting
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with CT and diagnostic radiography equipment and fluoroscopy
