Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography, sonography, CT and mammography exams with professional judgment and radiation protection principles
• Operate mammography suite: screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy, specimen radiography, and breast needle localization
• Assist with CT/interventional procedures, including contrast administration and injector setup
• Maintain patient records, imaging files, and department quality assurance documentation
• Participate in daily/weekly QC and equipment care for imaging modalities
• Assist with invasive procedures using sterile technique and provide venipuncture when necessary
• Rotate shifts and assume departmental responsibility in supervisor's absence
• Pursue and document required CEUs and maintain modality competencies per ACR/FDA and SEARHC policies
• Support supply inventory, ordering, and smooth clinical operations

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography required
• BLS (American Heart Association) required within 45 days of start
• Clinical competency assessment required within 3 months of hire and every 3 years
• Able to perform diagnostic exams relevant to assigned modalities (mammography, CT, radiography, ultrasound)
• Experience or certification in additional modalities (ARDMS, CT, MR, etc.) preferred
• Comfortable assisting with invasive procedures and working across imaging modalities
• Willingness to rotate shifts and take on-call responsibilities

• Patient-centered imaging and compassionate care across the lifespan

• Image acquisition and interpretation fundamentals for mammography and CT
• Contrast administration and automatic injector handling
• Specimen radiography and stereotactic breast biopsy support
• Competence in teleradiology transmission and record maintenance
• Sterile technique, venipuncture, and invasive-procedure assistance
• Ability to adapt protocols for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
