Roles & Responsibilities

Manage daily operations for outpatient imaging to meet financial, quality, and productivity goals
Supervise and mentor lead and senior technologists, and provide indirect oversight to technical staff
Perform and/or assist with direct patient diagnostic imaging procedures when needed
Ensure image quality control and enforce departmental policies and procedures consistently
Participate in department performance improvement and implement program development initiatives
Coordinate with clerical, nursing, and service engineering staff to deliver seamless imaging services
Monitor staffing requirements to meet budgets and productivity targets, and use progressive discipline when appropriate
Act as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and the care team to resolve issues and promote patient-centered care
Support regulatory compliance and quality improvement processes (Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, ACR)

Qualifications

Minimum five years’ experience as a working Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting
Minimum two years supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
Desired three to five years prior supervisory/managerial experience
Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by CA Department of Health Services OR current ARRT license
Current CPR certification
Desired: certifications in specialized areas (e.g., MRI, NMTBC) are a plus

Education

Associate Degree

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, and ACR compliance and survey criteria
Expertise in radiography, radiation safety, radiobiology, and radiation physics
Demonstrated skills in image quality control, quality assurance, and clinical imaging techniques
Leadership skills: staff development, delegation, performance management, and conflict resolution
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to monitor and allocate resources to support daily patient imaging services
