Shift Type: Rotating/varied shifts with 12- and 24-hour options: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (day), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night), and 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (24-hour coverage). Schedule varies by assignment.

Candidate Pay Rate: $273 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric care for low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Perform and manage labor and delivery including vaginal deliveries, low forceps, and cesarean sections
• Interpret fetal heart rate tracings (NST/CST/FSE) and perform/interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I, II/Targeted)
• Manage complicated deliveries including breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree perineal lacerations with precision and care
• Make timely clinical decisions and coordinate with nursing and surgical teams during emergent situations
• Document clinical encounters thoroughly and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Experience in obstetrics and labor & delivery with demonstrated competence in listed procedures
• Comfortable interpreting FHR tracings and performing/reading OB ultrasounds
• Skilled in vaginal delivery, low forceps delivery, cesarean section, and repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations
• Willingness to complete facility credentialing process (estimated timeframe ~120 days)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team

Education

• MD or DO
• Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent clinical experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Obstetrics and labor & delivery best practices
• Fetal heart rate (FHR) interpretation - NST, CST, FSE
• OB ultrasound interpretation including Level I screening and Level II/anatomic studies
• Management of low- and high-risk pregnancies
• Operative skills for cesarean section and complex deliveries
• Perineal laceration repair (3rd and 4th degree)
• Decision-making in emergent obstetric situations (VBAC, abruptions, multiple births)
