Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility while preserving dignity and independence
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control and safety practices to protect residents and team members
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Create a calm, respectful environment that promotes comfort and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working night shift hours and adapting to per diem schedules
• Ability to pass required background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living and safe patient handling techniques
• Familiarity with basic infection control procedures and patient safety practices
• Skill in clear, concise documentation and reporting
• Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize resident needs
• Compassion, patience, and strong observational skills
