Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as needed), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Support safe transfers and proper use of assistive devices
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Document care accurately and maintain resident confidentiality
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote dignity and independence

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Comfortable working per diem schedules and adapting to varying assignments
Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach to care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA training program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and ADLs
Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
Ability to observe, assess, and report changes in resident condition
Basic documentation and charting skills
Teamwork, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
