Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility while preserving dignity
- Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Maintain accurate resident documentation and charting
- Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean care environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work an 8-hour shift
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA certification program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong person-centered care and bedside manner
- Familiarity with ADLs, vital signs, and basic clinical observations
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Team player who can collaborate with nursing and support staff
