Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—assist with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and report changes in resident condition promptly to the nursing team
Perform essential ADLs and documentation accurately and on time
Support safe transfer and mobility practices, prioritizing resident dignity and comfort
Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

Current and valid CNA certification in Connecticut (or eligible to obtain)
CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
Demonstrated experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing principles and resident care standards
Skilled in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting basics
Good communication skills with residents, families, and team members
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced care environment
