Rad Tech
Location: Marrero, LA
Start Date: 04-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 8.5-hour shifts (as-needed). Specific start/end times and days vary and are not provided.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
- Position patients accurately and operate radiology equipment according to protocols
- Ensure proper radiation safety practices and follow infection-control procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to produce timely, diagnostically useful images
- Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and manage image transfers (PACS)
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any issues to the imaging team lead
Qualifications
- ARRT certification or equivalent radiologic technologist credential (required or registry-eligible)
- Active Louisiana radiologic technologist licensure, or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Comfort working per-diem/as-needed schedules with flexibility
- Strong patient-care focus, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (required)
- ARRT certification (or registry-eligible) preferred/required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in diagnostic radiography techniques and patient positioning
- Familiarity with PACS and digital imaging workflows
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and infection control
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and multidisciplinary teams
