Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and clinical changes with vigilance
Administer medications and treatments accurately according to orders and protocols
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Participate in unit orientation and support onboarding of new team members
Respond effectively in emergencies and contribute to a calm, organized environment for families

Qualifications

Current active RN license (state-required) to practice nursing
Experience or interest in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing
Current BLS; PALS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical knowledge of pediatric critical care principles
Experience with monitoring devices and pediatric medication dosing
Familiarity with ventilator support and advanced life support protocols
Accurate documentation and comfort using electronic medical records
Calm decision-making under pressure and excellent family-centered communication
