Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to protocols and manufacturer guidance
• Position patients accurately and apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to deliver high-quality care
• Document procedures and patient information clearly in medical records following HIPAA guidelines
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (or equivalent) required or in accordance with facility policy
• State licensure in Missouri as applicable for Radiologic Technologists
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications preferred
• Comfort working with pediatric and adult patients in a clinical setting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to radiation safety and infection control practices

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an accredited program preferred
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program and required certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
• Familiarity with digital imaging systems and PACS workflow
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
• Ability to follow departmental protocols and physician directives
• Basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance of imaging equipment
• Patient-centered approach with strong interpersonal skills
