Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a busy emergency department
• Deliver compassionate, evidence based nursing care to patients of all ages
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Administer medications, treatments and interventions safely and according to protocols
• Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Respond to emergency situations with calm, effective action and team leadership

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire required
• Minimum ED experience preferred; prior emergency department experience a plus
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize and multitask in fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV therapy, medication administration and ACLS protocols
• Familiarity with emergency department workflows and documentation
• Critical thinking under pressure and rapid decision making
• Team based care and effective interprofessional communication
