Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care as a licensed RN
- Assess and monitor patients, recognizing changes in condition and acting promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to create and implement care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHR
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond to emergencies, escalate concerns, and participate in safe handoffs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other advanced certifications preferred
- Clinical nursing experience in acute care preferred
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs
- Successful background check and immunizations as required by facility
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Safe medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and documentation best practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement awareness
- Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
