Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status using clinical judgment and evidence-based practice
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced life support equipment as needed
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain a high standard of care on the unit
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and transitions of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible for Kentucky licensure required)
• ICU nursing experience or strong interest in critical care nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; professional bedside manner
• Ability to participate in orientation and unit onboarding

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of critical care principles and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Medication administration and titration of continuous infusions
• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and care planning
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams and adapting to changing priorities
