Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and compassionately to prioritize urgent care needs
• Deliver direct nursing care in the emergency department, including medication administration and advanced interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary team members to create timely care plans
• Document assessments, interventions and patient status accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and uphold infection control and patient safety standards
• Participate in orientation and unit training to support continuous improvement and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Clinical experience or interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications such as ACLS encouraged
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency setting

Education
