Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health nursing care
Assess and monitor patients’ mental status and physical condition
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
Administer medications safely and document medication administration
Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
Educate patients and families about treatment plans and safety

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
Experience in behavioral health nursing or psychiatric settings preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire
Strong clinical assessment and crisis-intervention skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to participate in orientation and ongoing training

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - typical requirement; check with recruiter for specifics

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
Medication administration and monitoring
De-escalation and crisis-management techniques
Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
Collaboration with interdisciplinary treatment teams
