Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical patients and their families
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments per established protocols
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes promptly, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and caregivers about diagnoses, medications and discharge instructions
• Support unit efficiency by prioritizing tasks, managing time well, and mentoring peers

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure valid in New Hampshire (or eligible to obtain)
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred or supported
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing (prior Med/Surg experience preferred)
• Comfortable with medication administration, IV therapy, and common inpatient procedures
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Ability to prioritize and manage a 12.5-hour shift workload
• Excellent patient/family education and bedside manner
• Collaboration and handoff communication with interdisciplinary teams
