Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
Perform thorough assessments and continuously monitor patients using pediatric critical care practices
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
Administer medications, manage ventilators, and respond to emergencies with confidence
Document patient care accurately and communicate changes in condition promptly
Participate in orientation and mentoring of new staff to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

Current California RN license (required)
BLS and PALS certifications, or willingness to obtain
Experience in PICU or pediatric critical care preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and family-centered care abilities

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of pediatric critical care protocols and best practices
Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced monitoring systems
Ability to triage and prioritize in a high-acuity environment
Comfort providing family-centered care and clear communication under pressure
