Surgical Technologist
Location: Spokane, WA
Start Date: 04-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem operating room shifts, 4-hour blocks; exact start/end times and days vary (orientation required, schedule assigned per availability)
Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment for procedures
- Anticipate surgeon and team needs and pass instruments efficiently and safely
- Assist with setup and breakdown of surgical instruments and equipment
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
- Communicate clearly with the surgical team to support smooth case flow
- Participate in orientation and ongoing competency validation as required
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or completion of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work in an operating room environment and follow sterile technique
- Professional, reliable, and able to pass required facility onboarding checks
- Comfortable working per diem with flexible availability
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and OR workflow
- Familiarity with common surgical instruments and equipment handling
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Basic documentation skills and ability to follow facility protocols
