Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with direct patient care and procedures in a compassionate way
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are ready
• Obtain and record vital signs and basic patient medical history accurately
• Collect specimens and perform routine point-of-care testing as directed
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate, timely charts
• Support patient check-in/check-out and explain follow-up instructions clearly
• Contribute to a safe, clean clinical environment by following infection control practices
• Participate in orientation and team handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or comparable certification preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or required upon hire
• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited MA program preferred
• Comfortable working in a clinical setting and interacting with diverse patient populations
• Friendly communicator with strong attention to detail and good documentation habits
• Ability to pass background checks and any required facility onboarding

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with vital signs, specimen collection, and basic clinical procedures
• Strong patient interaction and customer service skills
• Basic electronic health record (EHR) navigation and documentation skills
• Ability to follow protocols, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a team
• Time management skills to handle short, focused shifts efficiently
