Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU
Monitor and assess complex patient conditions, responding promptly to changes
Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical interventions safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
Operate and troubleshoot advanced monitoring and life-support equipment
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans
Document clinical findings and interventions clearly and timely in the medical record

Qualifications

Current RN license (must be eligible to practice in Louisiana)
Minimum experience in critical care/ICU preferred
BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
Strong assessment skills and experience with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and complex patient monitoring
Mechanical ventilation basics and ventilator weaning concepts
Advanced cardiac life support principles and emergency response
IV infusion management and medication administration accuracy
Electronic medical records documentation and charting best practices
Patient and family education in high-stress situations
