Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults on the medical-surgical unit
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain one
• BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred
• Previous experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with EMR charting and electronic documentation
• Comfort with IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and patient monitoring
• Strong prioritization, critical thinking, and time management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and support a positive unit culture
