Roles & Responsibilities

Provide friendly, patient-centered ambulatory care and support during clinic visits
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with clinical procedures
Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, and medication lists accurately
Perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection and point-of-care testing
Maintain clear, timely communication with patients and the care team
Support efficient clinic flow by triaging tasks and coordinating patient check-in/check-out

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent medical assistant certification preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain during orientation
Comfortable working in an ambulatory clinic environment and assisting providers
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with basic clinical procedures and infection control practices
Ability to accurately record vitals and perform specimen collection
Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
Strong interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
Time management and organizational skills to keep clinic flow smooth
Basic computer skills and ability to learn clinic-specific software
