Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care following facility policies and evidence-based practices
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and document changes accurately and promptly
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective treatment plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following physician orders and protocols
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively while prioritizing patient safety
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain comprehensive, accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania (or compact license where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as required by unit
• Clinical experience caring for adult patients in acute care settings preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred where applicable.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to educate patients and families
• Time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to follow protocols and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
