Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the care team promptly
- Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver high-quality care
- Support resident comfort, dignity, and independence through daily activities
- Participate in care planning and help implement individualized care goals
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license - Pennsylvania required
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first attitude
- Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic IV/shot familiarity
- Vital sign assessment and routine patient monitoring
- Charting and documentation best practices (EHR familiarity helpful)
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
