Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with care and precision, ensuring clear images for accurate diagnoses
• Position patients safely and compassionately, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to ensure timely patient care
• Ensure accurate patient documentation and image labeling to support medical records and billing
• Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate as needed to minimize downtime

Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent certification preferred
• Active state radiology technologist license (LA) or eligible to obtain licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and sensitive cases
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and safety standards
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical imaging environment is a plus

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field; certificate programs considered with appropriate certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
• Familiarity with PACS and common EMR systems for image management and documentation
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and infection control practices
• Good communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
