Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with daily living activities and dignity-preserving support
Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and toileting while promoting resident independence
Measure and record vital signs, reporting changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and any observations
Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep residents and team members safe
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/vaccinations
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus but not always required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and activities of daily living (ADL) support
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, safe transfers, infection control
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and other staff
Empathy, patience, and strong observational skills
