Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and support for residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and toileting
Take and accurately record vital signs and observe for changes in condition
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Document care activities thoroughly and communicate status to the team
Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean environment
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
Support admissions, discharges and smooth transitions of care

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (required)
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass TB screening
Successful background check and drug screening as required by facility
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills and reliability

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient personal care and activities of daily living
Able to accurately measure and record vital signs
Familiarity with basic medical documentation and charting
Knowledge of infection control practices and PPE use
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with residents and families
Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
