Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Take and accurately record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Assist residents with mobility, feeding, hygiene, and comfort needs
- Document patient care clearly in the chart and follow care plans
- Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
- Build rapport with residents and families, offering empathy and clear communication
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- A caring attitude, good communication skills, and a commitment to patient dignity
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but new grads are welcome to apply
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Basic charting and ability to follow care plans
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Reliable time management and attention to detail
