Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident conditions and report changes to nursing staff
- Support safe transfer and positioning of residents to prevent falls and injuries
- Assist with meal setup and feeding while promoting independence
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care plans
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or equivalent) — Pennsylvania credentials preferred
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Infection prevention and safe patient handling techniques
- Good charting and documentation practices
- Team collaboration and effective communication with residents and families
