Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to med/surg pediatric patients
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate records in the EMR
• Participate in orientation and unit competency activities to maintain high standards of care
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Clinical experience in Med/Surg and pediatric care preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or willing to obtain
• Ability to complete required onboarding, orientation, background check, and immunizations
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work per-diem shifts and attend scheduled orientation

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of med/surg and pediatric nursing principles
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Patient and family education skills with a compassionate approach
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic clinical setting
